Belgian culthero Kloot Per W (see also cultbands such as The Misters, The Employees, Polyphonic Size, De Lama’s, Belpop Bastards… en many solo albums, singles and projects) deserves without doubt his own chapter in the History Book of Belgian Rock, capturing his 40- year career and still going strong.
Since 2013 he released no less than 10 songs, EP’s, albums and cassettes and collaborated with the French band Sandie Trash, cult heroes Lavvi Ebbel and Mauro Pawlowski (single “Land of the Most Forgotten”). With his new album “Inhale Slowly and Feel”, his tribute to The Vevel Undergournd he digs deeply in his musical roots. Kloot plays about all instruments himself and with help of Luc Crabbe, his daughter Mona and guest musicians Jan Blieck, Kristoff Martens en Mauro Pawlowski, he recorded 15 Velvets songs. Flirting with the originals he does add to these Lou Reed compostitions his own typical Kloot Per W twist.
10 songs were pressed in white vinyl and a CD with the full album and 5 extra tracks is added to it. The album is released on September 14th, 2018 and Kloot Per W will tour this autumn and winter with his Velvet Underground tribute band.
“We’re gonna have a real good time together” Indeed.
